PART TIME CATERING ASSISTANT
RATE OF PAY:
£7.20/hr (Over 25)
£6.75/hr (Over 21/under 25)
HOURS:
16 -25 Hours per week to include 4 weekend days in 8(either 1 weekend day each week or alternate full weekends) plus some Bank Holidays.
Although contracted hours may be 16-25hrs we expect all our part time staff to be flexible and able to work additional hours when available to help cover holidays / sickness etc.

OVERVIEW:
Cafe Fresco is an extremely successful and well established Cafe, based within a retail store in the village of Birkenshaw. We pride ourselves in providing excellent food and customer service, and due to the success of the business refurbishment is planned in the upcoming months.
The successful candidate will be confident, self-motivated and proactive with previous experience gained within a similar fast-paced catering environment. It is essential to possess a real passion for creating good food to a high standard with quality-sourced ingredients, whilst remaining commercially focused.
We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, with a passion for food and excellent service together with a desire to work with us to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
THE ROLE:
Food Preparation & Kitchen Service
Food Ordering & stock collections
Keeping on top of stock levels, food storage and stock rotation
Ensuring the cafe maintains high hygiene levels
Serving of food and beverages to customers in a professional manner.
Barista duties using a manual coffee machine.
Cashier duties.
Cleaning and deep cleaning of catering equipment and food service areas including customer areas.
Washing up & managing the dishwashing section.
Accepting catering deliveries and processing.
Any other duties required by the Catering Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants should be 16 years of age or older
Previous experience in a similar environment
Candidates should take pride in their personal appearance & have a high level of personal hygiene.
You should be passionate about good food and drink and have a good knowledge of it.
A good level of general education.
Flexible, dedicated and committed
Willingness to learn new skills
Ability to work and contribute as a member of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Works well under pressure
